Arbor Day is a holiday in which individuals and groups are encouraged to plant trees. Skill for Life discovered planting trees as one of the best green things one can do in a community. When you consider what trees do for the environment, they provide food, shade for people and oxygen for the atmosphere.

Skill for Life launched this project by donating fruit trees to community members and teach them to make jam and caned fruit. By doing this, it allows community members to learn a new skill set and also to turn that skill set into a profitable business in their own community.
